Theo Baloyi is a South African Entrepreneur and founder of Africa’s premium sneaker brand, Bathu where he currently serves a s Group CEO. The son of strong and hard-working parents from a small town on the outskirts of Pretoria – Phake.
He matriculated from Mabothe Senior Secondary School, and thereafter commenced his tertiary career at Damelin and graduated from the University of South Africa with a BCom Accounting Sciences Degree. Post graduation, Theo was employed at PWC South Africa assuming a role in Asset Management, Strategy & Financial management. Two years later, he was seconded to go represent PWC SA in the Middle East, Dubai & Saudi Arabia where he served for 3 years In 2015, he became the full-time founder and Group CEO of Bathu, providing jobs to the South African youth.
With over 33 Bathu stores across South Africa and the formation of the Bathu group which houses a collection of brands and business ventures. The group has already seen the emergence of brands such as Avenue Exchange, a house of niche fragrances and arBathy brands from around the world with 2 stores across the country in just merely 7 months ofits existence.
Theo Baloyi vows to transcend boundaries and create sustainable jobs for the youth and South African families a t large. As a firm believer of African brands making a mark on global platforms, Theo embarks on a journey to lead the Bathu group to greater frontiers.
