The story of the Legends Barbershop is, in itself, the stuff of legends. Sheldon Tatchell, the man behind the barbering empire, started cutting hair outside his cousin’s internet café in Eldorado Park, Gauteng, armed with a chair, a pair of clippers and a boombox, and looking for a way out of the township and its poverty.
Today, Legends has over 70 stores across Africa and Sheldon recently emerged as the prestigious Overall 2024 Entrepreneur of the Year title at the 36th annual Business Partners Limited Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Join Mark Sham on 25 March as he interviews Sheldon about his entrepreneurship journey. Come learn from a legend in the making as he strives to employ 1000 young people at Legends Barbershop and empower 250 individuals to start their own businesses as barbers in 2025.
